I’m a Spanish pianist, composer, educator, and musical polymath whose professional life exists somewhere between a conservatory, a recording studio, a research lab, and a suspiciously complex spreadsheet. At some point in the 2010s, global pop culture unexpectedly standardized the pronunciation of “Alejandro,” which has been a logistical advantage ever since.
What I Do

I work across performance, composition, teaching, research, and music technology. My background is rooted in classical piano and composition, but my activity extends into orchestration, improvisation, contemporary creation, pedagogy, and digital systems for music learning and publishing. If it involves understanding, creating, or transmitting music, I’m probably interested.
I’ve spent over a decade performing, teaching, and mentoring students across ages and levels in conservatories and universities. My pedagogical approach integrates technical rigor with creativity, reflection, and personal development—because playing notes correctly is good, but understanding why they matter is better.
Music, Technology, and Systems Thinking
Alongside my artistic work, I operate at the intersection of music and technology. As Content Manager at MuseScore (Muse Group), I lead initiatives in score curation, catalog development, and AI-assisted music publishing—helping shape how millions of musicians worldwide discover and learn repertoire.
My work there combines editorial judgment, data analysis, and system design. In practice, this means turning the vast, chaotic universe of musical content into structured, searchable, and pedagogically meaningful resources. It also means building frameworks, taxonomies, and dashboards that make sense to other humans (eventually).
Artistic Vision: Music as a Lens
My creative work centers on piano, composition, and re-imagined repertoire, often extending into interdisciplinary territory. I’m interested in music not only as sound, but as a way of understanding human experience: how we learn, why we create, and what artistic expression reveals about culture and society.
I’m particularly drawn to going beneath surface trends to explore structural causes and deeper meanings. In other words, if something musical is happening, I want to know what led to it—and what it says about us.
NoSoloNotas: Beyond Notes
I’m the creator of NoSoloNotas, an evolving educational and artistic platform that connects high-level musical training with holistic development. The goal is to cultivate not only skilled musicians, but perceptive, thoughtful humans who understand music as part of a broader intellectual and emotional landscape.
The project develops through workshops, performances, writing, and digital media, with a long-term vision of establishing an internationally recognized methodology for integrated music education.
Current Work and Future Directions
My work currently spans performance, composition, teaching, research, and digital innovation. Ongoing and future projects include advanced piano publications, new interdisciplinary compositions, educational programs, and the continued development of intelligent systems for music cataloging and pedagogy.
Across all of this, my guiding intent remains consistent: to explore the roots of musical and human expression, and to create work that is intellectually clear, emotionally resonant, and meaningfully transformative.

I answer to Alejandro, Alex, and occasionally Ander. The piano, fortunately, responds to all three.
